If you're like me and only use 'sed' for text file manipulation juuuuust often enough to forget everything about it every single time....

...so sayeth the guy who couldn't remember how to easily delete the first 18 million records of an input file.

I don't know anything about this, so I probably shouldn't try to be funny, but for a second I could have sworn that your last sentence said "so sed the guy who couldn't remember..." :P

Heh I have to go to that page pretty much anytime I need to do anything more complicated than single character substitution :/

Although frankly for your issue I probably would have just used tail -n +18000000 ;)
